This unique silicone mold has 2 different cavity sizes to meet all of your embedding needs. 2 troughs: 1"(L) x 1/8"(W) x 1/8"(D). 14 cavities: 1/4"(L) x 1/2"(W) x 1/8"(D). 1 trough: 2 3/4"(L) x 3/32"(W) x 1/8"(D). 10 cavities: 3/8"(L) x 3/4"(W) x 1/8"(D). Each cavity has an alpha-numeric marking, A1-A7, B1-B7, C1-C5, D1-D5.

Molded from a special high density acetal,the acetal caseettes keep specimens safely submerged and are resistant to the chemical action of most solvents used in histology laboratories. The efficient flow-through slots maximize fluid exchange and ensure proper reagent drainage.
The one-piece disposable plastic cover is pre-installed on each cassette and eliminates the need for reusable steel lids. The cover can be opened and closed as often as necessary and will always relock, reducing the possibility of specimen loss. The anterior printing area is at a 45° angle and offers an unobstructed view of the writing surface. For Leica and Sakura printers.

Disposable plastic tissue cassettes are used for holding and identifying tissue samples in processing, embedding, and sectioning procedures. The cassettes fit securely in microtome chuck adapters. They are totally resistant to histological solvents. These cassettes are designed to accept standard metal lids and will also fit either the standard stainless steel base molds or the disposable plastic ones. Made from Acetal copolymer.

Lids are easily removed by pulling sideways. The anterior writing area is at a 35 degree angle.

These 2 part molds may be used for all cold embedding epoxies. Comes with a detached cap for easy removal. The molds come in 3 different sizes to accommodate all of the samples you may have. The molds are made from HDPE and we recommend the use of mold release spray prior to use.
